CONDOLENCES MESSAGE On The Passing of Langna Rinpoche

I am very saddened by the unfortunate news of the passing of Langna Rinpoche (on July 30th, 2018). He was very close to me. For years he has made his residence at my monastery with his parents. He had planned to do a three-year retreat beginning of this winter.

 
On the sunny day of October 28th, at the serene and sacred lakeside of Tso Moriri, Jetsun Choekyi Gonpo presided over the cremation ceremony of the IX Langna Rinpoche of Korzok Monastery in Lhadakh.

His unexpected passing saddened me immensely. Needless to say, my prayers are with him and I pray for his swift rebirth. I am currently here in Nangchen, and I have gathered thousands of Drukpa Kagyu sanghas to perform prayers for his spiritual journey. I hope this will heighten his realization and bring about his swift rebirth to continue to benefit beings.

 May the blessings and compassion of the Three-Jewels permeate the hearts of his family and his followers, comfort them and guiding them through this difficult moment.

MY DEEPEST CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF KYABJE DRUBWANG DORZONG RINPOCHE

I am deeply saddened by the passing of Kyabje Drubwang Dorzong Rinpoche, whom I have known for over 40 years - an eminent and truly symbolic master of the Drukpa Kargyu. It is a profound loss to Tibetan Buddhism, especially to our lineage of Drukpa.

Rinpoche was widely revered as one of the most learned, practiced and respected masters of Vajrayana. Undaunted by hardships and challenges, with great courage and conviction, he endeavoured to preserve and propagate the authentic teachings of Drukpa Kargyu. His lineage has been closely bound to our monastery for over four hundred years.

During these important moments, while he is resting in the state of Dharmakaya, it is crucial that all his followers and friends strive to unite with his enlightened mind, remembering his kindness and noble intentions, and pray single-mindedly with fervent devotion for his swift reincarnation. May his enlightened activities and vast aspirations to benefit beings continue to unfold, without impediment and quickly attain fruition.
