The Reunion of Choegon Rinpoche and Pema Choegyal
Last updated on 30th November 2013

Under the repetitive request of the monks of Nangchen, particularly the faithful sanghas of Nangchen Garh, Drukpa Choegon Rinpoche has finally returned to the beloved holy land of his root guru in August of year 2013.

After such a long wait, the heart-warming and inspiring moment has dawned for these two great masters of Drukpa Kargyu to meet again. From the Vajrayana perspective, nothing could be more meaningful than the reunion of a guru and his heart-son.

The previous Adeu Rinpoche is the most important root guru of current Drukpa Choegon Rinpoche. Whereas, the previous Choegon Rinpoche was root guru to both previous Khamtrul Rinpoche and Adeu Rinpoche. The 8th Drukpa Choegon Rinpoche has already predicted in early 1940's that Adeu Rinpoche will be his lineage holder, responsible to transmit the Dechen Choekhor Lineage of Drukpa Kargyu to all Drukpa Kargyu masters, and entrusted him to pass on the entire Drukpa Choegon Lineage to his future incarnation.

Likewise, the 8th Adeu Rinpoche has entrusted his entire lineage to the current Choegon Rinpoche, and later he shall  pass on the lineage to the young Adeu Pema Choegyal when the time and conditions are right. This is how the great enlightened masters of the past preserve the essence and the continuation of the sacred pure unbroken lineage for over a thousand years. These Lineage Holding masters are called the Golden Rosary or Golden Mala Masters of a Lineage.

At the special request of the faithful monks of Nangchen Garh, Drukpa Choegon Rinpoche conducted the traditional rituals and puja to bless the unique memorial stupa (Tib: Kudung Chorten - the stupa of the holy body) of the late Adeu Rinpoche. After that, Rinpoche proceeds to bless every floor and every single temple in the Tsechu Monastery (Nangchen Garh).
The next day, Choegon Rinpoche led the Guru Offering (Lama Chopa) and conferred a full-day  empowerment of Chakrasamvara, Vajravarahi and Mahakala to all Rinpoches, Tulkus, monks and nuns in Tsechu Monastery of Adeu Rinpoche. It's a truly blessed, auspicious and heart-warming to see the joy on every face when their quest and longing for the return of their guru finally were answered.
