Last updated on 3rd January 2015

The Grand Drukpa Kargyu Tenshuk is organized by Dechen Choekhor Mahavihara and the Drukpa Kargyu monasteries across the Himalayan Region. As Kyabje Choegon Rinpoche is approaching 49-years of age, it is vitally important and deeply auspicious to conduct such ceremony, for the complete pacification of all obstacles to long-life, and to earnestly supplicate him to remain steadfast on the Vajra-throne to continue illuminating our world with the glorious Buddha-dharma, and preserving the enlightened essence of Drukpa Kargyu.

The grand Tenshuk offering ceremony took place on 31st October 2014 at Druk Dechen Choekhor Mahavihara, preceded by a three-day special preparatory prayer and practice rituals from 28-30th October 2014. The entire four-day events were presided over by H.E. Gyalwa Dhokhampa, Nyedon Shedup Nyima Rinpoche, H.E. Drubwang Dorzong Rinpoche and Venerable Drugu Choegyal Rinpoche with hundreds of tulkus, yogis, monks and nuns from the Himalayan. Thousands of lay devotees travel from afar to attend this memorable and heart-warming ceremony.

At the special request of the faithful monks of Nangchen Garh, Drukpa Choegon Rinpoche conducted the traditional rituals and puja to bless the unique memorial stupa (Tib: Kudung Chorten - the stupa of the holy body) of the late Adeu Rinpoche. After that, Rinpoche proceeds to bless every floor and every single temple in the Tsechu Monastery (Nangchen Garh).
The next day, Choegon Rinpoche led the Guru Offering (Lama Chopa) and conferred a full-day  empowerment of Chakrasamvara, Vajravarahi and Mahakala to all Rinpoches, Tulkus, monks and nuns in Tsechu Monastery of Adeu Rinpoche. It's a truly blessed, auspicious and heart-warming to see the joy on every face when their quest and longing for the return of their guru finally were answered.
