Dechen Choekhor's Monks Activities at A Glance

Dechen Choekhor Mahavihara has approximately 150 monks, age range from seven to over sixty.

As monks, they are living discipline life-styles. Every morning they wake up between 5.30-6am to prepare for
morning prayer at 6.30am; follow by breakfast. After that they went on to attend the respective classes according to their study levels in the morning and evening.

Apart from the daily study program, the monks are also responsible to perform scheduled monthly pujas, yearly grand pujas, and those pujas special requested by Rinpoche disciples worldwide.

Every year upon completion of summer retreat, the monks will enjoy a two days holiday cum picnic in the monastery or at the nearby natural park.
